Who Are Husaak Adventures?
Husaak Adventures was born back in 2013. Its founder, Ali Husain, originally moved to Oman as part of his flourishing career in the oil and gas sector. During this time, he spent his weekends exploring all of the natural wonders that Oman had to offer.
From the rugged landscapes to the winding wadis in between, Ali built a profound connection with Oman’s diverse landscapes. Along the way, he recognised that there was a significant gap in the country’s tourism industry and realised that there weren’t many options for adventure-focused and “off the beaten track” tours in Oman and with that, Husaak Adventures was born.
Since then, Husaak has grown beyond the borders of Oman, expanding into Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, and has become one of the most respected adventure tour operators in the region (and has even featured on the BBC). But at its core, it still holds that same spirit of exploration that started it all.

Why Book a Tour In Oman?
The words “underrated” and “hidden gem” often get thrown about too loosely these days, but those words 100% ring true when it comes to talking about Oman. Think towering mountain ranges, turquoise pools hidden away in wadis and a mesmerising coastline that goes on for miles on end, and not forgetting to mention a deep and rich history. It truly is a country that has it all.
But here’s the thing: getting around Oman isn’t always straightforward. The country hasn’t quite experienced its “tourism boom” just yet (although I’d say that’s only a matter of time). Because of that, the infrastructure is quite set up for independent travel around the country.
Public transport options are limited and really only connect major towns and cities. And trust me when I say the real magic and beauty of Oman lies far beyond these cities and is not so easy to get to.
You can absolutely rent a car during your time in Oman, but many of the true hidden gems in the country require insider knowledge and local connections, which is where experts like Husaak Adventures come in.
This is also where joining a tour can be a game-changer for solo travellers in Oman (especially for solo female travellers). While Oman is an extremely safe country for women, it’s understandable if the idea of solo driving, wild camping and navigating remote areas on your own feels a bit daunting. On top of that, having to pay for a car rental by yourself can be extremely pricey.
This is exactly how I felt when I was booking my trip to Oman (which is why I was so glad to discover Husaak Adventures).

Why A Husaak Adventures Tours?
What sets Husaak apart from other tour operators is just how passionate they are about what they do. On a tour with Husaak, you don’t just get taken from point A to Point B, you get fully immersed in the journey (I experienced this first-hand when the Husaak team even curated the car’s music playlist to perfectly match the vibe of the place we were travelling to).
Whether you’re camping under the stars in Wahiba Sands or canyoning your way through Wadi Hawar, every Husaak trip has been carefully curated to ensure that you experience something that is both adventurous and authentic.
One of the things I appreciate most about Husaak is their unique itineraries that you can experience across all four seasons. Husaak know the land like the back of their hand and will often take you to places you’d never find on your own.

Plus, if you’re travelling in a group or are looking for something slightly different, you can even create a fully customised itinerary with the team that will be perfectly tailored to your needs.
It’s reassuring to know Husaak is also not just any tour company, but one that prides itself on its safety expertise. Their team is experienced and always puts your safety and comfort first, no matter the conditions. Having a trusted guide to experience some of Oman’s best hiking trails can make all the difference.
However, what also stood out to me about Husaak is their commitment to doing things the right way. By booking with Husaak, you’ll be supporting a company that prioritises fairness, sustainability and supporting local communities.
Positives and Negatives of Taking a Tour With Husaak?

- Small Groups: The small group sizes mean that you get a more intimate experience.
- Great Logistics – From 4×4 to camping gear, everything is handled for you.
Negatives
- Physically Demanding: The majority of these tours involve hiking, climbing, swimming and long drives.
- Can Be Pricey: These tours can be expensive, but you really do get what you pay for with Husaak.
- Additional Costs: The majority of camping gear is included, but you will have to pay additional fees for a sleeping bag, etc if you are unable to bring your own.
- Remote Areas: Think camping and basic facilities (which is part of the experience), but it’s not for everyone.

Are Husaak Tours Good Value?
Absolutely. While they’re not the lowest-cost option out there, they offer exceptional value for money when you consider absolutely everything that goes into providing one of these tours. You’re not just paying for a tour, you’re also investing in a full-on experience.
Who Are These Adventures For?
These tours are for adventure travellers who want to go off the beaten path and immerse themselves in Oman’s nature and rugged landscapes. They are also made for nature lovers, thrill-seekers, as well as solo travellers who want to experience Oman in a group setting. In addition to this, if you are a landscape or wildlife photographer looking to get closer to some epic views, then a Husaak tour will be perfect for you.
Who Are They Not For?
These tours are not for luxury travellers who are after a chilled and comfortable experience. Husaak’s rugged, off-the-grid style might feel a little too raw if you love your creature comforts. These trips are about getting dusty and stepping outside of your comfort zone.

My Honest Husaak Adventures Review
I spent three unforgettable days with Husaak on their iconic “Sands and Splash” tour, and honestly, it was the perfect introduction to everything Oman has to offer. The adventure started with camping in Wahiba Sands, where we watched the sunset in the desert before enjoying a campfire and BBQ under a clear night sky.
The next day, we took things up a notch with canyoning through Wadi Hawar. During this portion of the tour, we got to climb, swim, and even cliff jump through this stunning landscape, which honestly looked like something out of a movie.
Wadi Hawer isn’t easily accessible with a standard vehicle or on your own, and wearing a helmet is essential, as there are unexpected steep drops, low rocks, and other hazards along the way. This is why I loved getting the opportunity to go with Husaak, who knew the area and could provide me with the right hiking gear!

This was definitely my favourite part of the trip because I’ve honestly not experienced a landscape like it (and after travelling to 65 countries, it’s not something I say lightly).
We wrapped it all up with a peaceful beach camping experience and a stop at the stunning Bimmah Sinkhole on the following morning before heading back to Muscat.
It was the perfect balance of adrenaline and nature. And of course, everything went smoothly thanks to the friendly Husaak team, who really went above and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous time.
I felt like the Husaak tour was the perfect option for me as a solo female traveller in Oman who didn’t want to rent a car.
So if you’re looking to travel with one of the best tour companies in Oman that knows the country inside, then Husaak should absolutely be at the top of your list. I can’t recommend them enough!
