A Little Insight Into MY Journey

My Sri Lanka Journey

I first travelled to Sri Lanka back in 2016 and fell in love INSTANTLY.

It was never a conutry I had initially considered, until I met 2 girls whilst solo travelling in Indonesia who told me I just HAD to go, so I did.

After my first trip back in 2016, I spent years dreaming about going back, until I finally got to make that dream a reality in 2023. I spent a month there, and of course, fell in love with the country all over again.

So much so, I returned back for another 2 months in 2024 and I am planning to do the same thing again come next year.

I’m not sure why I love this country so much but its definitely a mixture of the nature, the wildlife and the most welcoming locals you’ll ever meet.

Welcome To Hiriketiya

Hiriketiya is my absolute favourite town in Sri Lanka. This little horseshoe-shaped bay on the south coast is pure magic, think turquoise waves, palm trees, surf breaks for all levels, and cosy cafés you’ll never want to leave.

It’s the kind of place you come for a few days and end up staying much longer.

Welcome To Ahangama

Ahangama is one of the best digital nomad hotspots I’ve come across in Sri Lanka. The mix of surf, great cafés, and solid coworking spaces makes it easy to balance work and play.

I’ve found it’s the kind of place where getting things done actually feels enjoyable.
