Poco a Poco boasts a scenic rooftop, refreshing green garden, cosy hammocks, spacious kitchen, large dining area and super cheap food and drink options (perfect for those on a backpacker budget).
The hostel is also a great choice for Digital Nomads as they have lightning-fast internet and plenty of spaces for you to get some work done!

At ViaVia you can find other facilities such as a bar where you can grab some freshly prepared juices or cocktails and some hammocks for those lazy days.
Here you can also find the Volcano Day booking office, which is the number 1 volcano boarding provider in Leon.

5. Selina Maderas

The Hostel also offers surf lessons and surfboard rentals as well as being the home of the very famous San Juan De Sur ‘Sunday Funday Bar Crawl’.
And, if all that wasn’t enough it’s within arm’s reach of San Juan Del Sur beach and just a stone’s throw from places like the Cristo de La Misericordia and some of the best bars and restaurants.

Hush is also another great option for digital nomads with high-speed WIFI and plenty of space to work.
This one was one of my personal favourites in Nicaragua and is definitely in the battle for the top spot as one of the best hostels in Nicaragua.

The Space Hostel is a unique, boutique-style accommodation nestled within the untouched Nicaraguan jungle and just a mere 10-15 minutes from San Juan Del Sur.
This hostel offers a mix of dormitory and private rooms, a relaxed atmosphere, intricate decor, and very friendly staff.
This hostel, for the most part, is a calming oasis perfect for travellers looking for a little bit of rest and relaxation.
However, this doesn’t include Sundays, when The Space becomes part of the ‘Sunday Funday Bar Crawl’.
So, just be sure to be mindful when booking a stay here if you want to avoid the party scene.

Best Hostels In Ometepe, Nicaragua
10. Hospedaje Soma

11. El Zopilote

The best bit about Hostel Life is good? They’ll even pay for your Tuk Tuk ride to the hostel when you arrive in Ometepe.

They also offer travel and tour bookings like kayaking through Granada’s 300 little islands and ziplining through the jungle.
They also provide both private and shared rooms, free wifi, laundry service, an open kitchen, a bar, and a relaxing rooftop.

17. Selina Granada

In addition to iconic views, Selina also offers rooftop yoga, weekend parties, awesome local coffee, and a co-working space featuring hi-speed WiFi and private phone booths (plus lots more).
Selina offers a mix of private rooms, and dormitories (including female-only dorms).
18. Paradiso Hostel

Fancy staying on the shores of one of Nicaragua’s most beautiful crater lakes (and one of the cleanest lakes in Central America? Then Paradiso Hostel is for you!
Paradiso is located in Laguna de Apoyo (just 30 minutes from central Granada). This hostel provides dormitory and private rooms, stunning lakefront views, and a super chilled atmosphere.
They have an onsite restaurant and bar that serves up some really delicious treats.
And, if that’s not enough they have a sunbathing pontoon, paddle-boards, kayaks and rubber rings all free for you to use to enjoy the serene beauty of the lake.

19. The Treehouse Hostel

The Treehouse Hostel is just a short drive from Granada, best known for its awesome Friday night jungle rave.
They have a mixture of private rooms, dorms, and 3 unique treehouses that are suspended in the lush jungle.
In addition to their unique location, they also offer free shuttles to/from Granada, plus yoga, breath-work, karaoke and village tours.
Staying at The Treehouse isn’t for the fainthearted, nestled 150m up Mombacho volcano, getting to this hostel requires a bit of a workout, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!
If you’re looking for a unique party experience (where rumour has it that you can get tattoos onsite) then The Treehouse is one of the coolest party hostels in Nicaragua to book!
Also, note that The Treehouse is only open between Wednesday to Sunday (and this goes down to two days during the wet season) so be mindful of this when planning your trip.

Best Hostels In Little Corn Island, Nicaragua
20. Grace’s Cool Spot

Grace’s Cool Spot is a budget-friendly option for travellers seeking simplicity on Little Corn Island.
Located just meters from the pristine white sandy shores and turquoise waters of Little Corn, the views from Grace’s cool spot are pretty hard to beat.
You won’t find any dorm rooms at Grace’s Cool Spot, just ridiculously affordable private cabins that can accommodate up to 2-4 people.
Grace’s cool spot also offers snorkelling and fishing trips as well as an awesome Friday night bonfire and BBQ where all the guests can come together and mingle.
It’s important to note that Grace’s cool spot is located on the opposite side of the island to the pier.
This means you will need to walk back through fields during the dark if you head out at night.

21. Three Brothers Hostel

Three Brothers Hostel is a cosy, family-run hostel smack dab in the heart of town, not too far from the pier.
It’s one of the OG hostels in the Corn Islands and boasts dorm beds, private fan rooms and a communal kitchen.
If you’re looking for somewhere with laidback vibes and a super central location then Three Brothers is it.
